Is the master cleanse lemonade diet, a.k.a. the maple syrup diet a.k.a. the cayenne pepper diet a.k.a. the master cleanser diet safe or just a scam or fad? Information and resources on this particular detox diet.

Many people have heard of the Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet which goes by many of names such as; the master cleanse diet, the lemonade diet, the maple syrup diet, and even the cayenne pepper diet. Some call it a detox diet or fast, but whatever you call it, one thing remains consistent, the ingredients which go in to this seemingly strange mixture. So what purposes do these ingredients pose? What is the significance of this strange mix? The following information will try to shed some light on the master cleanse fast and what benefits the diet claims to provide.

The master cleanse lemonade diet recipe is a liquid drink in which an individual on the fast drinks as primary nutrition while the individual refrains from eating solid foods. The master cleanse fast includes the following ingredients:

Fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice - Hence the common name "Lemon Cleanse" or "Lemonade Diet"

Organic grade B maple syrup - Hence the "Maple Syrup Diet" is another name in which it is called

Cayenne Pepper - The "Cayenne Pepper Diet" is also a commonly used name regarding the same mix.

and water... and no, it hasn't been called the "water fast" strangly enough.

But what benefit does this mixture supposedly provide those going through the detox diet? Although questionable and often argued, those who are "pro" the Master Cleanse Diet often called "master cleansers" believe that the mixture provides the following benefits:

- Total body detoxification of years of built-up waste, which hasn't been properly removed due to todays level of pollution and the bodies unableness to detoxify itself properly.

- Extreme weight loss - Many have claimed that the fast allowed them to lose 20-40 lbs. in as little as a ten to twenty days, although this is not the main purpose of the diet.

- Renewed energy and total body rejuvination, freeing the individual of common aches and pains due to toxification of the body.

- Highly increased immune system and an immense ability to fight of diseases which come from long-term abuse to the body from toxins and other pollutants.

- Increased stamina and better sexual functionality and increased vigor.

- Highly increased mental clairity and response

among many more benefits claimed such as people having an almost "enlightening or spiritual" experience while on the detox diet.

Now, like with any diet or fast, there are many skeptics on the ability of the cleanse to do all the above listed benefits in addition there are certain unnamed dangers or risks that happen from the diet or not completing the diet correctly [ It is always recommended that you do research, get a manual or book and speak with your physician before trying any diet or fast as your current health may play a role in your ability to perform the diet correctly.]

The master cleanse lemonade diet recipe consists of the four main ingredients; lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper and water. But what do each of these ingredients due in regards to the master cleanse recipe? Basically speaking I will try to address them the best that I can:

Lemon or Lime Juice - Provides additional nutrition and "cleansing" properties.

Maple Syrup - Provides essential b vitamins as well as addressing your caloric needs.

Cayenne Pepper - Provides nutritive properties as well as stopping hunger pains (most hot foods do).

Water - Helps in hydrating the body which is essential for survival.

The purposes mentioned above in the master cleanse recipe are atleast the most prevelant although there may be other purposes I yet do not know, these however, are the most obvious.

Whether or not the master cleanse lemonade diet is right for you is a decision that can only be made between you and your physician. Although there are many skeptics on the ability of the diet to completely detox the body or that the body needs additional help detoxing, many have claimed the detox diet to work miracles for them and their health. Some have even claimed that it flushes unneccesary or overabundant hormones in their body which was previously stiffling them from getting pregnant in which the master cleanser diet actually supposedly helped them conceive. Whether or not you believe in the fasts ability, one thing is for sure, the acquired taste is something you'll aboslutely love or really dislike. If you are interested in pursuing this type of detoxification, I highly suggest that you do your research and learn the proper way of going through the cleanse in order to minimize negative or harmful affects from improperly going through the diet.

Whether you believe the master cleanse diet is capable of doing all these things or not, one thing is for certain, there is a "right way" and a "wrong way" to go through the ten day master cleanse challenge. Below are tips for those attempting the master cleanse fast to get the most benefits possible while minimizing risks.

1. Do your homework - It can not be said enough. Do as much research as possible before attempting the lemonade diet. Read books, go to online forums, do whatever you can to educate yourself.
